This full service life plan community included independent living townhomes, assisted living apartments, skilled nursing and memory support nursing along with a centrally located service and amenity component. All of these care levels were connected to provide ease for staff and resident movement. This "greenfield" construction included HVAC using water source heat pumps for financial sustainability.

While there existed a mid-century constructed 3-story skilled nursing building on this site, this building required significant updating, including full accessibility. The result was fully remodeling the nursing building and adding assisted living, offices, a community room and a new image, along with accessibility.

ELM CREST SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY
Harlan, IA

The major provider of senior healthcare in this rural community had an established reputation for quality skilled nursing care but their facilities were outdated and the client wanted to expand services. The major life-plan community repositioning included new independent living apartments, new assisted living and memory support assisted living apartments, a new memory support skilled household and a complete updating of existing structures including new and updated facades.

LEVI HOSPITAL SENIOR COMMUNITY
Hot Springs, AR

The acute care client, located in the resort community of Hot Springs saw the need to provide senior living and senior care for the community and for those who wished to retire in the community. The life plan community was located on a promontory and included independent living townhomes and apartments, assisted living, memory support and skilled nursing. In addition there was an adult day care included.
